Identifying of emotional quotient junior high school students in mathematics

<span lang="EN-GB">This study aimed to determine the emotional intelligence of junior high school students, especially in managing emotions, recognizing and motivating themselves. This was quantitative with survey design. There were 102 respondents participated this research that obtained based on purposive technique. The instruments used questionnaires semi-structured interviews data analysis using descriptive statistics, including mean, min, max, categorization, percentage. From results investigation has been done, it is found there students mathematics which shown by aspect emotions a suitable category 61.8% (63 102) issue an appropriate 53.9% (56 out students. self-motivation 60.8% (62 Students need be allowed develop direct experiences thoughts learning activities.</span>
